Pam Buda

Pam Buda began her quiltmaking journey in 1997. Before long she was designing original quilts, and in 2004, began self-publishing her patterns under her company name, Heartspun Quilts. She loves traditional blocks and is inspired by her collection of nineteenth-century quilts.

Pam also has a love of early American history, and years of reading about what daily life was like for eighteenth- and nineteenth-century women allowed her to combine her two loves of history and quilting into her well-known Prairie Women's Sewing Circle Club, hosted by participating quilt shops since 2009. In 2011, Pam's love of historic fabrics led her to begin designing reproduction fabrics for Marcus Fabrics in her signature prairie style.

Pam also enjoys traveling. She presents lectures and workshops to guilds and at quilt shops, quilt shows, retreats, and on quilting cruises. She lives in a suburb of Chicago.
