Barry Klein
Growing up, Barry Klein spent afternoons in his mother's retail needlework store. Once he got his hands on yarn, he was forever addicted. While earning a marketing and film degree in college, he worked as a sweater and yarn designer for Fantacia, one of the first fashion yarn companies.
Barry and his mother, Myrna, started Trendsetter Yarns, staying true to their passions for bringing the most exciting fashion yarns and the most luxurious classic yarns to the knitting market. Barry has taught extensively at knitting conventions, in store exhibits, and on knitting cruises. A past president of the National Needlework Association, he has created patterns and written articles for Vogue Knitting, Knitters, Knit 'N Style, Love of Knitting, and Cast On magazines as well as been a featured talent on knitting shows Uncommon Threads, Needleart Studio, Knitty Gritty, and Knitting Daily. Barry was recently featured in "Top 10 Men in Knitting," an article on Knitty.com (Winter 2009) that profiled the 10 most influential men in the world of knitting.
