How do I figure out total amount of fabric needed to complete the quilt using all 182 blocks. Sashing amounts required?

Hi Doris, we're sorry, but as this is a block-based book, we don't have information on how much fabric it would take to make all 182 blocks. Our apologies that we can't be more helpful. --Martingale customer service
What a great collection of rectangular blocks. It's a great addition to my library of block books. The book includes layouts for sampler to spark your imagination. Nicely done!
182 blocks the are not square, how cool! This book evolved from a challenge in a quilt group and then grew thus creating 4" x 5" blocks that are either never seen before or changed from a traditional block. Does the creativity ever end? Not in this book. Each page diagrams one of the block and easy to understand instructions. The authors also encourage block clubs and exchanges along with how to get started. These ladies provide a wealth of information to not only get quilting but how to get others involved too! Really good book to have, I highly recommend it to include in your library.
There is an amazing collection of rectangular blocks in this book. I have been making square quilt blocks forever and was delighted by the unexpected variety, beauty, and creativity revealed on each page!

What began as a block exchange with Carol, Linda, and three other friends with the purpose of creating 4"x 5" rectangular blocks using reproduction fabrics in blue, black, red, and double pink, culminated into a selection of 182 unique blocks ready to be featured into a sampler quilt, or used on their own in a repeat pattern.

Each page has a photograph of the block, diagrams, and easy-to-follow instructions. A must-have, to use with reproduction fabrics, or any other fabrics you love.
