Is there a mistake in section 1 of Riding the Waves? I think the first fabric in column 9 should be 18, and in column 11 should be 16. These are the opposite of what is printed.

Wendy - Thank you for submitting your question; our editorial department will review this pattern. Please feel free to contact Customer Service at 800-426-3126. - Sheila M
Is there a correction for "Riding the Waves". Section 1 and 2 don't match up. I've checked over and over and can't figure it out.

I was very excited to get my hands on a copy of Strip-Pieced Bargello Quilts by Judith Steele. The book did not disappoint. Judith's approach to bargello, while similar to mine, was just different enough, that I learned some new ways to look at various parts of the process. The instructions are clearly written and well thought through. The designs are original and appealing. The book is beautifully illustrated and delightful just to browse. I'm predicting the book will be a best seller. It is a must have for every quilter who enjoys strip piecing and/or bargello quilts.

Judith Steele

Judith Steele grew up in a small country town in the state of Victoria in southeastern Australia. She learned to sew and knit as a young child, and her sewing led to many dressmaking projects that included her wedding dress and many children's clothes. She achieved the degree of Bachelor of Computing at La Trobe University in Bendigo, Victoria, and then worked for the state government of Western Australia while pursuing her passion for patchwork and quilting. Judith was bitten by the quilting bug in 1999 when her older daughter showed her a scrap-quilt pattern. After winning a copy of Electric Quilt, Judith found that designing became much easier. A number of her bargello designs have been published in various Australian quilting magazines. Bargello quilts are her primary love, but she relishes experimenting with anything that she can design using EQ8 on her computer.
