Mary Hickey
Mary Hickey has been an influential leader in the quilting world for more than 30 years. She continually works to bring new techniques, designs, and ideas to quiltmaking, and she has taught and traveled around the world to teach her quiltmaking techniques. She has also made appearances on HGTV's Simply Quilts.
Mary's primary goal in designing, writing, and teaching is always the same; to design projects and write instructions that enable quiltmakers to make traditional quilts that look complex, artistic, and stunning but that are easy to make.

Joan Hanson
Joan Hanson made her first quilt at the age of ten for her Barbie doll, and that started a lifelong passion for sewing and quiltmaking. Later, Joan began her education career by teaching high-school home-economics classes. For quilters, she's taught classes across the United States. In addition to quilting, Joan enjoys spending time at her family's cabin on Whidbey Island, walking the beach, digging clams, and pulling crab pots.
