Review from Quilt DK, May 2013

If you are attracted by all the amazing colors of the pre-cut packaged materials, known as precuts, this book is for you. You get 10 quilts, some in very simple designs and other more advanced, but yet it is done in an easy way. There's even one with a super nice 3D effect, and all great looking. Selection of colors and prints rang from romantic, modern and rustic. See for example a quilt sewn up in a mix of repro and batiks. Throughout the book Rebecca gives small valuable tips for example how you can use your dryer to mixed up your leftovers, so you can mix your material in a new way, or how your quilting puts the icing on the top.

Rebecca Silbaugh

Rebecca is a creative soul with a passion for quilting. Thanks to her background in graphic design and her lifelong dabblings in art, Rebecca's interest in all things quilting began with the allure of fabric. After opening Ruby Blue Quilting Studio in 2009, she published her first book, Seamingly Scrappy (Martingale, 2013), and continues to create scrappy quilts as often as she can. When Rebecca isn't working on a new quilt at home in Ohio, she's probably traveling with her husband, Ben, discovering a new favorite home away from home. No matter where Rebecca is, you can always find her on her blog. Visit RubyBlueQuilts.blogspot.com.
