I bought this book for one pattern in particular. Its worth the $19.00 even for one pattern! The book gives you large AND small instructions for the same pattern. I LOVE that! My sister wanted a small wall hanging and we picked out the "Plan C" pattern. It's a lovely pattern so I'll probably do the fill size for myself later...and I don't have to start re-calculating the measurements or fabric consumption.
Trying to do a short story small quilt the companion angle ruler and the quarter square triangle ruler do not match up on the cutting directions nothing seems to be matching up first of all an inch and a half and an inch and a half only equals 3 inches not 4 inches so I don’t know where you’re getting all these measurements from but it’s not matching up very disappointed

Hi Laura, we're so sorry for the trouble. We double checked both rulers and there is a discrepancy for the Companion Angle Ruler:

For the Small Quilt, Companion Angle ruler: the center seam should line up with the 1 1/4" line and the bottom edge should line up with the 2 1/2" line (#4).

All other measurements are correct. Many thanks for pointing out the discrepancy to us! --Martingale customer service

I love the look of scrappy geometric quilts, yet as a new quilter I have a hard time creating that look with my relatively modest fabric stash. This is where precut fabric packs come in. Charm Packs and Layer Cakes (we call them Stacks here at Connecting Threads) are perfect for making quilts that look colorful and scrappy, and they are great time savers too! In Schnibbles Times Two, Carrie Nelson has included loads of fantastic quilt patterns that use these fun and time-saving precuts. Each pattern is shown using 10” squares and 5” squares. Not only does that make for two different size options, but it means that quilters get to see each pattern in two different color combinations—something that is always very helpful for me when choosing a project. I’m excited to get started with the Stacks and Charms I’ve collected in my stash—now I just have to decide on which pattern!

Review from Stick Your Nose in a Book: Quilting Book Reviews by Jennifer Zoeterman

Charm packs and layer cakes are the focus of this book . . . Carrie explains how they are best used, how many to buy, those pinked edges, and the warp. There are 12 patterns, each of them done in 5" squares and 10" squares. The book features lots of clever ideas for pretty and colorful quilts. I'm still not sold on these packs, but love the book. I think I'll cut my squares from my stash!

A rose by any other name is still a rose. So fans of Carrie Nelson may not know her by her given name, but they surely know her by her pattern-designer name, Miss Rosie. Carrie is Moda Fabrics' social-media guru (perhaps not her official title, but that's what she's all about), but she still slips into her Miss Rosie mode from time to time to design yet another clever scrappy pattern. No matter what you call her, you'll call her patchwork patterns brilliant!
