Red and white quilts are a perennial favourite and in this title some of That Patchwork Place's top designers present their takes on favourite patterns. Projects range from simple ones suitable for beginners to more complex makes for those with some experience. Most of the quilts are based on blocks and are constructed using quick-piecing techniques, but some are appliqued, or incorporate a mixture of the two methods; there are also some curved designs and English paper-pieced patterns. The majority of the projects are for full-size bed quilts, but a few are throw/wallhanging size. Whether you use solids or mix things up by using a range of red prints, this striking colour combination has enduring appeal for both traditional and modern quilters.
