Lois Krushina Fletcher

Lois Krushina Fletcher is a self-taught quilter who began quilting in 1990. After discovering that machine quilting was the answer to her lack of space because it required no frame, she began quilting in earnest. It quickly replaced her numerous other hobbies, becoming her passion and, eventually, her career. In 2000 she resigned from her full-time job with a major corporation to begin her own pattern-design company, Peace By Piece Designs. Since then, she has also published four books.

Lois has spent most of her life in the South, but an unexpected move in 2002 brought her to the small village of Ashton in northern Illinois. It is there that she now resides with her husband, four cats, and one dog. She has two grown sons, Michael and Matthew, who both still live in Texas. Although her move from her beloved Texas was not in her plans, she is enjoying her new life in the Midwest. She and her husband live in a home from 1914 that they are presently renovating. The third-floor walk-up attic will eventually become her studio, and with more than 600 square feet of space to work in, promises to be extremely comfortable. She has already warned her husband that she may never come down!
