Review from McCall's Quick Quilts magazine

A fresh take on 12 old favorites! This collection of patterns is perfect for all quilters, whether confident beginners or seasoned experts. Mix fabric that you have on hand with new choices for a modern twist. Applique accents on several quilts add to the fun.
Review from Popular Patchwork magazine

Cyndi Walker has published a collection of traditional pieced quilts with additional applique which will appeal to quilters of all levels of ability. There are twelve quilt projects here, all with good instructions, diagrams and photographs. There are full-size applique templates for projects with appliqued sections and a short chapter on quilt-making basics for beginners. Cyndi recommends using fabrics from your stash for these quilts, buying additional fabrics in similar tones to supplement what you already have if necessary. This is a great way to piece these quilts and solves the problem for beginner quilters of buying lots more yardage of fabric for an early quilt. This is a good book for the beginner or intermediate quilter wishing to make a pretty traditional quilt.
