Ohmygosh, as a long time friend and follower of Kristyne, I knew her book would be lovely, but wow! It's a wonderful book to add to your library.

Kristyne's book has eight sections, each section focuses on a traditional block and each block has a quilt associated with it, as well as a smaller project.
As with all of her creations, no small detail is overlooked, from the most delicate piece of lace to the sweetest etched button. With Kristyne's
instructions and illustrations, we can make those pretty patchwork bags with zippers, embroider tiny bee's wings on a block, and applique handles on
to baskets. Tips are sprinkled throughout the book to help.

The styling and photography throughout the book is wonderful, making this a pretty book to look at as well as to use for instruction.

Kristyne Czepuryk

When Kristyne Czepuryk of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, was introduced to quilting, she knew she'd found her passion. Since then, she's started a pattern company, Pretty by Hand, designed fabric lines for Moda Fabrics, and taught sewing and quiltmaking classes.

Her formal education gave her the skills to become a technical writer, which is her full-time career. Most recently, she spent four years taking night classes to earn a graphic-design certificate, which she put to good use fulfilling her dream of becoming a fabric designer.

What's next? Who knows! Only one thing is certain . . . she'll be making.
