I love books like Merry Makers with a collection of many-sized projects and new takes on traditional ideas. They give me tips on how to use my fabric stash (you know, the one that is growing by leaps and bounds). The instructions for every pattern are clear and the diagrams help with step-by-step construction - a hallmark of Martingale's books. As you look through it you will see the endless opportunities for personalizing each project: use different fabrics (traditional, reproduction, novelty, batiks) and colors, add beads, monograms, and ribbons.

A must-have!
I love Christmas and patchwork crafts, and what better than a book combining both! So many fun projects to make. Clear and concise instructions for each project making it really easy for a beginner. ‘Secrets from Santa’ is a fun addition to learn a little more about each contributor, and the author had a little fun when she added Jane Davidson’s comments. Apparently, you need to read it in an Aussie accent. Love this book, and I have already started on my Christmas projects!
Wow what great timing for some holiday sewing. There are so many lovely projects in this book that it’s difficult to pick a favourite. I will probably make a start with Sandy Klop’s Peppermint and Pine table runner and Jane Davidson’s gorgeous Perpetual Holiday Wreath. The illustrations and instructions are really clear, precise and well written. This book will be treasured in my sewing library.
Great book full of amazing inspiration and project for the Xmas season
This is a great book with a lot of really great patterns! The instructions are nice and clear. Sandy Klop’s Peppermint-and-Pine table runner is really cute. I also love the Perpetual Holiday Wreath by Jane Davidson. The Winterlude Lap Quilt by Betsy Chutchian is really beautiful. These are just a few of so many inspiring ideas. I also love the “Secrets From Santa”, which tell how each of the Moda All-Stars celebrate the season. Also, I really need to mention the Twinkle, Twinkle Wall Quilt by Barbara Groves and Mary Jacobson. It is just so lovely!
