Are you like me? You love those charm packs but once you get them home, you don’t know what do to with them? This book will solve that problem.

With 17 patterns for those wonderful charm squares, you will finally be able to figure out what to make with them. The book is divided into three sections: patterns for one pack, patterns for two packs and patterns for three packs. What a great idea.

The instructions begin with a photo of the item, the finished block and item size and the number of charm packs needed to create it. The material and cutting lists are next and easy to follow. Each pattern has a blurb from the quilt maker. Any templates needed are included at full size.

I love the patterns include how the item was quilted. No matter large or small, you now know what to do with those wonderful, colorful charm packs.
Moda All-Stars designers create absolutely beautiful quilts with those 5" square charm squares. There is a uniqueness to this book in that each quilter was asked the same questions on using these charm packs and their answers are inspiring. Easy to construct quilts using either 1,2, or 3 charm packs and any level quilter will love the quilts since the configurations of the blocks make amazing projects. Another inspiration from Lissa Alexander: The royalties from this book will be donated to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation which benefits the Children's Cancer Foundation. This book is definitely going to be included in my library and would be a great addition to yours!
The gorgeous designs in this book were created by the Moda All-Stars designers, so I knew I was in for a treat. Speaking of treats, Lissa Alexander included in the book answers to her survey "Charmed, I'm Sure", where you can find out each designer's preferences regarding Charm Squares and how they use them.

There is one more reason why I liked this book: it is good for the quilter's soul and creativity, while it has a very practical purpose. All royalties from the book will be donated to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation to raise funds "for research into new treatments and cures for all children battling cancer." A great addition, indeed, to any quilter's library.
