Olga Pobedinskaya was born in Russia, and lived in England for 10 years before coming to America. In 2004, she won first prize in the knitting competition organized by the British Hand-Knitting Council and Knitting magazine. She also placed second in the 2004 World's Fastest Knitter competition in London. Her designs have appeared in a number of publications and gallery exhibits.
