Mary bought her first sewing machine when she was 16 and decided to make a high-school graduation quilt for her sister: a one-patch design cut from corduroy and quilted with thick batting, which amazingly did not break the new machine!

Mary started at Martingale & Company in 2004, volunteering as the quilt tour docent. She was hired as marketing coordinator in 2008 and feels fortunate to go to work every day surrounded by creativity. She and her family live in their restored 1901 farmhouse in Snohomish, Washington, where she enjoys crafts, sports, movies, gardening, antiques, and their cairn terrier, Rufus.
