Review from Popular Patchwork, January 2015
This is another excellent addition to the Make it Martingale range of budget quilting titles, and focuses on quick quilts made with fat quarters. There are nine projects included in this volume, all with fairly basic but clear instructions and most featuring some strip set arrangements for speed. The 1930s style Glory Boxes quilt is particularly impressive, and we also loved Lost and Found, which utilises a clever combination of negative and positive space to create floating and disappearing chains across the quilt top. The patterns are generally for quite large quilts, but in most cases you could simply use less fat quarters to make fewer blocks and make smaller lap quilts using the same design and techniques. There are some interesting patterns in this volume; overall the Make it Martingale series is very good, and this is of the same high quality.
