Another great title from Make It Martingale, Fast and Fun Baby Quilts includes nine showcase quilts for little and not-so-little ones. As ever, so much depends on your fabric choices, and these adaptable designs work well for those choices that stray from the traditional baby pastels. There are a couple of very girly quilts here, but designs such as "Baby Bows and Twinkle Toes", despite the title, could easily appeal to grown-ups as well as older children. The other designs are fairly gender neutral though, and would be fine for babies of either sex. These would also make very nice lap quilts for members of the family at the opposite end of the age spectrum. This is more than a collection of baby quilts - it's really a bargain collection of interesting yet simple lap quilts which could be given to babies.
