Review from Bonnie Brody, Top 100 Reviewer, Amazon.com

Dolce Handknits: Simple, Sophisticated Designs by Kim Dolce contains several wonderful patterns that I'd like to knit. There is also a section on yarn and size considerations, along with techniques, abbreviations, useful information and resources.

The book is divided up by seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. My favorite winter knits are the Kilimanjaro pullover lace sweater knit with heavy worsted yarn. The yarn used is a mixture of alpaca, wool, and silk. I also like the Covent Garden cardigan in two lovely shades of gray. This is knit with a yarn comprised of wool, lama and bamboo. In the spring section, I like the Santa Fe pullover knit with Habu Textiles 100% silk yarn. Yummy! My summer favorite is the Captiva summer tank knit in white out of a nice cotton yarn. For fall, I'd choose the Sienna cardigan in a lovely dark brown. It is knit in a yarn comprised of alpaca and wool.

There are several patterns in this book that are not for me but might well appeal to a younger set. However, there are enough patterns that I like to make the purchase of this book worthwhile. I recommend it.
