This hat is perfect for a trip to the ski slopes or the shopping mall. The ear flaps are knit flat; then the body of the hat is knit in the round on circular and double-pointed needles. Because the hat is knit with two colors per row in the Fair-Isle technique, it's wind resistant--using two colors creates yarn floats on the inside of the hat that add thickness.
