I love Gail Pan's Changing Seasons book! It is difficult to pick which one of the 17 projects in this book to make first. So, they are all on my to-do list.

My stitches are imperfect even though I have been embroidering for a while. Yet, I still make her projects because her creativity tempts me to try, to learn, to venture, and accomplish! Changing Seasons is filled with eye-candy for the practiced, yet it would make a fun gift for a novice embroiderer and quilter who is itching to join our club. The General Instructions section at the back of the book has a diagram for the nine stitches she uses throughout the book, as well as information on how to finish the projects. Another must-have book!

Gail Pan

Gail Pan lives on the outskirts of Melbourne, Australia, at the foot of the beautiful Dandenong Ranges (a series of low, verdant mountain ranges). Growing up in a home where sewing was always an important part of life, it was only natural that she tried every craft there was. She has always had some kind of project in the works.

In 2003, at the encouragement of friends who were opening a patchwork business, Gail began to design and release her own patterns. She's been designing ever since and has also branched out into designing fabric. Gail teaches all over the world and gets great satisfaction from sharing her love of needle and thread.
