Review from British Patchwork & Quilting, July 2017

An interesting collection of fifteen quilts, runners and wall hangings, all based on the Churn Dash block. The introduction demonstrates the traditional block and a quick way to produce 8 Half Square triangles. Several quilts combine Churn Dash blocks of varying sizes separated on a light background. Another quilt has two colours but alternates the blocks by reversing the colours. One Churn Dash has wavy edges appliqued on with fusible web, another is only one large block, 36" square. Sashing and applique can also alter the overall design. The techniques are explained well in words and diagrams.
